The appointee should:

• Hold a valid Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Be in possession of the relevant Section 13 Trade Test Certificate.
• Have at least 3 years’ experience as an Electrician.
• Have at least 1 year experience as a Winder Electrician.
• Be a self-starter, motivated and be result orientated.
• Have good communication skills.
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

Key responsibilities include:

• To carryout electrical maintenance, repairs and installation of equipment and cables in the section including winder maintenance.
• To provide and maintain a safe environment with minimum risk to the health and safety of all employees in the section.
• Accountable for proper discipline in the section.
• Adhere to the standards and procedures of the mine regarding sub-stations, repairs on high voltage equipment.
• Perform standby duties and work ad-hoc hours when required.
• Be able to work shifts (Night or afternoon).
